Riverbed SteelApp Traffic Manager Gets Azure Certification
Riverbed Technology has announced that another one of its products is now Microsoft Azure Certified.
The company, a leader in application performance infrastructure, has stated that Riverbed SteelApp Traffic Manager is now certified by the cloud provider. The SteelApp Traffic Manager – the firm’s virtual application delivery controller (ADC) – joins Riverbed SteelHead as being Microsoft Azure Certified.
Both products come as part of the Riverbed Application Performance Platform, which enables customers to analyse, diagnose and resolve performance issues with their applications and network before they affect the end user.
With more and more companies now deploying hybrid clouds, they face a range of new performance challenges, such as architectural complexity, support blind spots, management and security. By adopting these Riverbed solutions within an Azure cloud, customers can enjoy the cost and agility benefits of the cloud while remaining in control of performance issues.
Furthermore, the certified products help optimise and accelerate the delivery of applications from Azure to business locations faster, using less bandwidth and with greater security, Riverbed explained.
Jeff Pancottine, senior vice president and general manager of SteelApp at Riverbed, commented: “Customers interested in extending their enterprise to support workloads in the cloud on Azure now have access to Riverbed’s products to improve SaaS performance while keeping costs down and simplifying manageability in the cloud.”
Garth Fort, general manager of enterprise partners at Microsoft, added: “In today’s cloud-first world, applications should be accessed and delivered quickly, securely and cost effectively, and Riverbed provides the cloud application performance infrastructure that makes this happen.”
