Riverbed Launches Most Powerful Version Of SteelHead To Date

The leader in application performance infrastructure, Riverbed Technology, has unveiled the most powerful version of its SteelHead product to date.

The latest iteration of Riverbed SteelHead – the CX 70 series – is the first WAN optimisation solution specifically designed to meet the needs of modern applications in the hybrid enterprise.

The company states that Riverbed SteelHead CX 70 comes complete with a hardware update, including solid state drive-based architecture, double the RAM capacity and increased processing power for great scalability and even better application performance. The updates have been geared towards today’s hybrid enterprise, which combines on-premise and cloud-based elements.

SteelHead is ideal for these environments as it can securely optimise the growing number of connections between end-users and web-based application servers. It also provides network traffic information that improves the visibility essential to troubleshooting, fixing, and predicting network and application degradation.
