Riverbed Honoured In 2015 CIO Impact Awards
Riverbed Technology has announced that it has been honoured in Frost & Sullivan's 2015 CIO Impact Awards.
The annual awards from Frost & Sullivan celebrate teams and individuals that are enabling breakthrough business models and strategies through the innovative use of transformative technologies. Riverbed, a leader in application performance infrastructure, was recognised for implementing a new cloud-based collaboration platform that has already improved the way employees work across the global organisation.
The 44 winners in the 2015 iteration of the awards were decided by a panel of expert judges, including award-winning chief information officers and Frost & Sullivan researchers. The panel declared that Riverbed and its CIO Ginna Raahauge executed an outstanding unified communications and collaboration platform project by overhauling collaboration tools with cloud-based applications.
Over the last year Riverbed deployed Microsoft Office 365 for productivity anywhere, Yammer for enterprise social networking, OneDrive for cloud file sharing, and other cloud-based tools for collaboration. At a gala in San Francisco Riverbed was named “Best in Class” in the Unified Communications and Collaboration category.
Jerry M. Kennelly, chairman and CEO of Riverbed, commented: "We are delighted to receive this prestigious award and be recognised for our internal IT achievements. Our CIO, Ginna Raahauge and key members of the IT team led the effort with help from employees across the company.
"At our core, Riverbed is about application performance that drives business performance, and that’s exactly what this IT initiative has achieved for our global workforce."
