Arbor Networks Gains Certification For Security Expertise
Arbor Networks’ Pravail Availability Protection System has earned the Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 2 (EAL 2) certification.
The EAL2 certification recognises the trustworthiness of information technology security products, which is fundamentally important to the company’s enterprise and government customers. Arbor, a leading provider of DDoS and advanced threat protection solutions for enterprise and service provider networks, received the certification after a thorough evaluation of the solution by the Turkish Standards Institution.
The Pravail Availability Protection System is the first on-premise security product that is focused on securing the network perimeter from threats against availability. It specialises in application-layer distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
The security solution delivers out of the box attack identification and mitigation capabilities that are quick and easy to deploy. The evaluations the Turkish Standards Institution conducted on the system included rigorous analysis and testing to examine security aspects of a product or system.
Furthermore, there were extensive testing activities involving a broad and formally repeatable process; this helped to confirm that the security product delivered the functions as claimed by the manufacturer.
Matthew Moynahan, Arbor Networks president, commented on the news: “This is an important third-party validation for the Pravail Availability Protection System.
“This certification involved rigorous evaluation and testing, the results of which show just how reliable our technology is. This product is playing a critical role in ensuring the availability of the world’s most complex and valuable network infrastructure, including some of the largest government, enterprise and financial institutions in the world.”
